Setting up your league
Pick ’em works for any sport and season on Superfan Games. Name the league, choose the season, and set the rules once. Everything else runs itself.
Straight up or against the spread
Straight up means your team only has to win. Against the spread means it has to win by more than the spread. Draws count as losses, and in spread leagues the line locks 72 hours before kickoff.
Picks per week
Make everyone pick every game, or set a smaller number such as 5 picks a week so people choose their spots.
Moneyball
Turn on Moneyball and set how many bonus points it is worth. Each week, every player marks one pick as their Moneyball. A winning Moneyball earns the bonus on top of the regular point, a losing one costs nothing, and each team can be your Moneyball only once per season. Moneyball is not available for NBA seasons.
Tiebreaker
When everyone picks every game, you can turn on the tiebreaker: players predict the total score of the week’s last game, and the closest guess wins a tied week.
Entries
Allow up to 5 entries per person, so your friends can run more than one set of picks in the same league.
Set it up once, share the league code, and the picks start rolling in.
How to play Pick ’em
Every week the slate shows up in the app. Pick, lock in, and watch the leaderboard move as the games finish.
Pick a winner for each game before it starts. Games lock at kickoff, so you can change a pick right up to then.
If Moneyball is on, mark one pick each week as your Moneyball. Choose a team you have not used as a Moneyball before.
If the tiebreaker is on, enter the total points you expect in the last game of the week.
Correct picks earn one point, Moneyball winners earn the bonus, and wrong picks never cost you points. The weekly winner and the season leaderboard update as results come in.
Maximize your Pick ’em strategy
In straight-up leagues, favorites win more often than not. In spread leagues the line evens things out, so a few well-chosen underdogs can separate you from the pack.
Spend your Moneyball wisely
You get each team once per season as a Moneyball. Save the strongest teams for the weeks their matchups look easiest, because the bonus can be worth several regular picks.
Play the format
In a pick-5 league you can afford to be aggressive with a couple of underdogs. In a pick-every-game, season-long league, steady accuracy wins.
