Rules
Create Enjoyable League Rules
Fantasy sports shouldn’t be a lawless society, but shouldn’t feel boring either. Enact rules that will maintain the integrity of the league, while maximizing fun.
Here are a few good places to start for all commissioners.
Rule Examples
No collusion whatsoever!
A zero-tolerance policy should be enforced in cases where clear collusion took place. Each manager needs to win or lose on their own merits, and two people should not be working in tandem. Anyone involved should not be eligible for a prize.
Last Place is Gone
Great leagues motivate everyone to stay engaged all season, and one of the best ways to do that is by kicking out whomever finishes last. During the draft/party for next season, they can wear the last place cap as an added comedic touch. They can get back into mix the following year though, to replace the next last place manager.
The League Will Not be Held Hostage
Joining a league is a commitment, and must be taken seriously. Anyone who deliberately doesn’t make picks, or jokes about quitting halfway through should be removed immediately. One bad apple can’t ruin it for everyone else.
