Recruiting
Sometimes a fantasy sports league isn’t created because 1 person didn’t want to send an email. We removed that burden by giving you many different email templates to use to recruit your friends into a league.
Recruiting Friends
League Roles
The Brains
The brains is usually the commissioner since they’re clearly the smartest since they started the league.
The Looks
Every league needs a good looking guy who can get the ladies when you’re watching games at a bar and your team is getting blown out.
The Wildcard
There is always the guy in a league who drafts 2 kickers, only picks underdogs, or only shows up every other week. Every league needs a Wildcard.
The Takes It Too Seriously
You need to make sure there is one person in your league who takes it way, way, way too seriously. Fantasy football isn’t the most important thing to most people, but not to this person

Hello everyone and aloha Darren,
Welcome back to RIP Harambe, Season 7! Congrats Alex for the most epic beatdown ever. Jason has been promoted to Executive Chairman of RIP Harambe inc. and will only be utilized for necessary questions. If we can get everyone from last season to sign up, we can keep the same text thread. I’ll send the link to the league in the thread.
There will be a handful of adjustments that will be implemented and they are outlined in the New Rules section.
The first college game starts on Aug. 28 with Nebraska at Illinois.
The entry fee will remain at $500 and buy-backs are outlined in New Rules. Payments must be sent within the Cash App to the handle $superfangames. If you send me money in any other way, you won’t receive points.
New Rules:
Buy backs will be staggered based on month. All buy backs in September are $250, October is $500, November is $750, and December is $1,000.
There will be 2 mandatory games a week and emailed out on Tuesday mornings.
Last day to buy back is by 11:59PM on Monday, December 20, another week later than last year since the NFL added a week.
Old Rules:
There will be a cap on buy-back cost to $750. So, entry fee will be $500, with a 1st time buy-back of $500. After first buy-back, it will be $250, $375, $500, and then $750 for every buy back from there on out.
Buy-back penalties are being eliminated, meaning that a buy-back will provide a clean slate. The cash value of your buy-backs will not count against your final bankroll.
As I mentioned last year, there will be a “commissioner’s fee” of 6% on the final pot. This will undoubtedly circle its way back into the pot, but this small fee is basically for the headaches of keeping you fucks in line for 22 weeks.
As of today, I have not been hunted down by the IRS after funneling DL $21K. With that in mind, and the potential for even more pot growth this year, I will no longer be holding $. By now, we all understand how precious this league is, and I highly doubt anyone would jeopardize their standing by holding out on payment. Therefore, I will manage the books (hopefully with the help of Danny’s App), and payments will be made directly to the winner within 2 weeks of the Super Bowl.
In the event of a shortened-season 1) If the season does NOT conclude with a Super Bowl Winner, the pot (at the time the commissioner concludes the NFL season) will be split 3 ways - 70% to the winner, 20% to 2nd place, and 10% to 3rd place. With the trend of OFP champs not leading going into the SB still in-tact, I think it’s fair to have a spread pot. 2) If the season is cut short, but there still is a Super Bowl (or NFL Champion determined by the NFL commissioner by any means) Champion, regular league-rules apply and 100% of the pot will go to the winner.
With so many variables that we will come across in the season, there is no way to forecast and create a rule for each one as it arises. Therefore, I will determine the best/most equitable course of action as these incidents come up. By registering your team this season, you are acknowledging that my ruling is final whether you agree with it or not AND that precedent may or may not be a determining factor. We have had a couple “threats” to leave the league in years past based on my rulings and precedent. Previous league rules/rulings may or may not apply to this season, so just be prepared!
Everyone starts with $5,000, and for the most-part, is there to utilize as you please with the exception of a few games. Each wagered game has a $50 minimum-bet attached to it with no maximum. If your total bankroll falls under $50, each bet you make must be at least 25% of your bankroll.
There will be 4 mandatory games to bet each week, 3 of which are all predetermined by their respective organization (Thursday Night NFL game, Sunday Night NFL game, and Monday Night NFL game). The 4th game, called the “Too Much Cash in My Pocket” game will be determined by me, and is usually based on important/relevant games for members of this group. If there is a CFB season, there will be a mandatory game there are well.
You are “buy-back” eligible once your total bankroll falls equal to, or under $250 updated to $500.
Fowler Rule: If you fail to bet a mandatory game, you will be subject to a $250 penalty, which doubles with each additional violation ($250, $500) during that week.
The last date to buy back in will be prior to kickoff of the Monday Night Ravens @ Browns game on December 14th, three weeks later than last year.
Collusion: Refresher on collusion rules established in 2019…
If there is concrete evidence that a league-winner colluded, he will be immediately removed as league-winner, with that title going to the person occupying 2nd place.
If a league-winner has already received cash winnings, but proof emerges that he colluded at any point during the season, his entry fee for Office Football Pool 2020 will equal his winnings from the previous season. If that person refuses the increased entry fee, he will be disqualified and replaced for Office Football Pool 2020.
If the guilty-colluder wishes to remain in Office Football Pool the next season and repays the winnings, 50% of the entry fee (or total winnings), will be given by me directly to the person who provided evidence of collusion, and the other 50% will go straight to the pot for 2020.
If evidence of a collusion attempt is provided to me prior to a league-champion being paid out, that $ will be re-distributed as follows…75% to the 2nd place finisher, and 25% to the whistleblower.
If evidence of a collusion attempt is provide to me prior to a league-champion being determined, that person, or those involved, will immediately be disqualified from competition.
Because I know that someone will try to find loopholes in the standard definition, collusion will ALSO cover the sharing of any information regarding one picks to influence the picks of another bettor, as well as ensure that the winnings of OFP will be distributed only to the winner, and not dispersed afterwards by the winner to any other member of this league, their spouse, friends, or relatives in an attempt to reroute the funds.
